The 2022 AFLW Draft: Alana Woodward with Montana Ham and Scott Gowans. Ham was the number one pick in the 2022 AFLW Draft.

Christmas is coming a little early this year with the 2023 AFLW Draft being held on Monday night at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.

After a historic season which saw the Swans make the semi-finals for the first time, in just the club's second season, Sydney will look to bolster their lineup with some young talent with picks 15 and 30.

Since the conclusion of the 2023 season, Sydney have had several list changes, having added QBE Sydney Swans Academy product Holly Cooper through the Expansion U18 Talent Pathway pre-signing period and most recently recruited Kiara Hillier from the Brisbane Lions and Giselle Davies from the Gold Coast Suns during the AFLW Trade Period. Meanwhile the club said farewell to Aliesha Newman (traded to the GIANTS0, Bridie Kennedy (relocated back to Melbourne for personal reasons), Kate Reynolds, Jenny Higgins, Jaide Anthony, Kiara Beesley and Sarah Ford.

Sydney have only participated in one AFLW Draft, in 2022 ahead of the club's first season in the AFLW competition. At that draft the Swans held the number one pick 1 and secured Montana Ham alongside pick 5 - Sofia Hurley and pick 11 - Cynthia Hamilton.

Who will be the next young stars to join the Swans? Tune into afl.com.au from 7pm on Monday December 18 to watch the AFLW Draft LIVE.
