Jeremy Laidler and Ben McGlynn are in the mix for Thursday's clash against Hawthorn despite having to overcome a shorter turnaround.
The pair were omitted ahead of the trip to Geelong and played in the NEAFL Swans' Round 15 encounter with Canberra on Saturday.
Laidler collected 19 disposals, took six marks and had four rebound 50s across the half-back line while Ben McGlynn was busy through the midfield and up forward with 25 disposals and nine tackles.
Both hit the scoreboard, kicking three goals between them in the 97-point win at Canberra's StarTrack Oval.
Senior coach John Longmire confirmed at Tuesday's press conference that the defender and small forward were managed for the duration of the match with an eye on the upcoming blockbuster against the Hawks.
"We knew going into (Saturday) that some players would be time limited because we wanted to have the option of making changes (this week)," Longmire said.
"There were a number of players who didn't play full minutes and they pulled up pretty well...a number of our players came through that in really good form.
"We'll see how we go at training today, obviously with the shorter week today's training will be our main session so we'll know what the squad looks like later today.
"We're always looking to see how our side can improve. We still think we've got some players who can come in and give us some bite."
Harry Cunningham, who's missed just two AFL games this season, staked his claim for a senior recall also tallying 23 possessions, seven clearances, seven inside 50s and a goal.
Recently eleveted rookie Jordan Foote continued his strong form with 23 touches, four tackles and two goals.
