I’ve been an emergency for the seniors the past two weeks, which can be a bit difficult, but I’m staying positive.

I know where I’m at, I’ve got to keep playing well in the twos, and put my hand up for when someone gets injured, or their form drops, so I’m ready to step up.

There are a few boys playing well in the twos, so it’s pretty competitive for a spot in the senior side.

I played forward in our reserves game at Blacktown on Saturday, crumbing off the taller guys. We played against a very talented bunch of footballers from the AIS-AFL Academy, so they played some good footy and were a very skilled team.

I’m staying positive and just trying to work on a few things, including my endurance. I get regular feedback from the coaches, who let me know I’m doing the right things, it’s just that the senior team is playing well at the moment and it’s hard to fit in.

I’m enjoying a switch from the backline to the forward line this year. I’m still learning something every time I play and I feel like I’m starting to get to know the movement patterns. It’s a new challenge for me.

I watched the match against Adelaide yesterday and I was definitely stoked for the boys. They stuck to the game plan for the whole match and it just shows that when you do that and stick to what the coaches are telling you, it pays off. The boys went really well. I thought the boys in the backline set it up and it was great to see.
