Five Swans secured - Fox, Bell, McLean, Amartey and Knoll re-sign
“We’re delighted that Robbie, Hayden, James, Joel and Michael will continue their careers with the Swans for at least another year. Robbie has demonstrated an ability to play a number of roles at senior level and we expect James, Michael, Joel and Hayden to continue to develop and push for more senior opportunities next year. They’re all young, exciting, eager to learn and have bright futures ahead of them which is a great result for our football club.”
Charlie Gardiner - Sydney Swans Head of Football
Tom Papley
"Tom has been open with the Swans that for family circumstances he would like to come back to Melbourne and play his football there. He has had a fantastic time in Sydney, they have looked after him very well and given him the opportunity to play but right at this point in time despite having a contract in place he would like to explore his opportunities in Melbourne and see where that ends up. Carlton is his preference but we understand how the trade period works so we will keep all of our options open. There is a fair bit to play out and Sydney has a bit going on so there is a fair bit to work through for both parties."
Scott Lucas - Tom Papley's manager
