Chad Warner has earned his first Virgin Australia Mark of the Year nomination in 2024 after a spectacular take in last Thursday's match against the Western Bulldogs.

In the dying minutes of the third quarter Warner pulled off a hanger to take a mark in the Swans forward 50, before locking away his third goal for the night. The 23-year-old put on a clinic against the Dogs and finished the match with 25 disposals, four tackles and four goals.

Speaking to Sydney Swans Media in a post-game interview Warner credited his tall forwards in supporting his midfield dominance. Touching on the mark he said:

"I'll have to thank Brodie later. It was my first hanger so it was nice to get up there for once."
