There was another sea of red and white at the SCG on Sunday afternoon as the Swans recorded a memorable come from behind 30-point victory against Geelong.
A massive crowd of 44,714 members and fans packed into the stands on a sunny Kings Birthday long weekend. It was the second highest home and away crowd in Sydney Swans history and the club's average home crowd now sits just under forty-thousand at 39,952 affirming that a place at a Sydney game is the hottest ticket in town.
Despite a slow start against the Cats, Swans supporters soon found their voice as the comeback was ignited. The impact of the vocal home crowd was not just felt on the field but made its way to the Swans coaches box too.
"Half way through the second, the crowd was really starting to go," Sydney Swans senior coach John Longmire said.
"The scoreboard wasn't looking great at that point but the crowd really worked their way into it.
"It's been so great to see the crowd get so invested and behind the team. They really got going half way through the second (quarter) and I looked at the scoreboard when I heard them and thought, well we still have got a fair bit of work to do here, but they were so loud.
"The crowd on Sunday (and all season have been) enormous and the players really appreciate it. We are so appreciative of our big crowds, the members and fans are turning up in droves. They're loud and really invested. I want to thank them all the time and I do most games, but it's just been awesome."
Swans defender Tom McCartin, who returned to the team after missing several weeks, also echoed his coach's thoughts post-game and said him and the team were loving the atmosphere and support.
"The support is amazing, I don't think it needs to be underestimated how big of an impact it has on us as a group," McCartin said.
"Even down to the scenes that we get for the March to the Match as we come up to the ground, it's huge. So keep coming out and supporting us as it makes a huge difference."
