Round 24 fixture confirmed

The AFL have today confirmed the fixture for Round 24 with the Sydney Swans to host the Adelaide Crows in a Saturday night blockbuster at the SCG. 

The match will coincide with Member Thank You Round an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding commitment and contribution of our 2024 members.

Tickets will be available on Monday August 12 from Ticketek. Members can access a pre-sale from 11am and general public from 3pm.

What's on in Round 22

One of our most anticipated fixtures of the 2024 AFL season is finally here. This Friday night we're set to clash with Collingwood on the SCG and our members and fans are invited to join in on all the festivities at Sydney Swans HQ, Driver Avenue and inside the SCG.

Join us at the plaza opposite Sydney Swans HQ from 4:30pm for the Sydney pre-game, presented by Jim Beam. Hosted by the crew from the True Bloods Podcast, hear from very special guest 303-gamer and Bloods Champion Michael O'Loughlin, enjoy an array of food trucks, a live DJ and garden games. 

Gates open: 5:45pm
First bounce: 7:40pm

Hall of Fame

On Thursday night, August 8, four modern greats will be inducted into the Swans Hall of Fame. Plus, a significant figure in club history will be elevated to Swans Champion status. 

Stay tuned on our social media channels for an official announcement. 

Our inductees will complete a lap of honour on Friday night. Be in your seats ahead of first bounce to cheer them on. 

Longmire: "Every team has ebbs and flows."

John Longmire appeared in his weekly press conference to address last week's loss to Port Adelaide. 

“Every team has had ebbs and flows. The thing that hit us behind the weekend was the drop in performance and standard…," the senior coach admitted to the media.

"We’re confident that we can return to a level of competing that gives us the best possible chances in games and part of that is to spend a couple of days with the players, pressing them up mentally and physically to be able to attack Collingwood this week.”

AFLW practice match confirmed

AFLW is just around the corner with the Sydney Swans to take on cross-town rivals GWS in a match simulation this Saturday. The team will be in action at Blacktown International Sportspark from 2:30pm AEST.

A practice match will then take place the following weekend on Saturday, August 17 on the SCG as the club hosts Hawthorn.
