Q: How can I get a ticket to the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final?
A: You need to be an eligible 2024 Sydney Swans member to register for the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final Ballot. The registration for the Sydney Swans member ballot was held on Wednesday  11 September 2024.

Q. I registered in the member ballot but was unsuccessful in securing a ticket, why?
A. Registering in the member ballot does not guarantee access to purchase a ticket. The ballot is run at random across the priority groups and if the demand outweighs the supply of tickets, unfortunately some people will be unsuccessful in purchasing a ticket.

In some instances, if the credit card on the registration declines at the time of processing the tickets, members may also miss out in securing their tickets.

Q: How does the AFL decide who can purchase tickets to the Grand Final.
A: The AFL and Victorian Government work together to ensure the Grand Final Ticketing process is fair and equitable. You can view the 2024 Toyota Grand Final ticketing scheme here.

Q: Ticketek is saying there is no more AFL Grand Final tickets available, but I have seen some for sale? Should I buy these?
A: You should only buy tickets via official and authorised AFL Ticketing agents. Tickets for resale through unauthorised channels may be scams.

Q. How do we know who the official seller is?
A. We understand that this can be confusing as these resellers spend a lot of money to ensure they're the top result when searching online for 'AFL tickets', etc. The AFL and Club websites will always direct to the official seller for any game. Finals ticketing FAQs can be found at afl.com.au/finals/tickets/faq

Q. How can these resellers provide guarantees on the validity of the tickets?
A. These guarantees are not verified by the AFL, clubs or venues. Some resellers may offer you a refund after you lodge a complaint, but no AFL venue is under any obligation to honour tickets purchased via unauthorised re-sellers.

Q. What is the AFL doing to fight against these resellers?
A. The AFL has taken steps to limit the access of professional ticket scalpers by limiting the number of tickets that can be purchased in one transaction restricting the ability to print tickets until closer to the match reviewing common resale sites and cancelling tickets that can be identified when advertised above face value Unfortunately, even with additional legislation against reselling, the practice cannot be completely prohibited. Many of these sites are based outside of Australia and therefore aren’t bound by any Australian legislation.

Q. I got a Grand Final ticket and now I cannot use it, am I allowed to resell this?

A. Under the Major Events Act 2009 (VIC) it is illegal to on-sell or advertise for resale AFL Grand Final tickets at a premium or as part of a package, unless the seller is authorised in writing by the AFL. We suggest calling Ticketek to discuss a refund.

Q.  I have tickets but how do I find accommodation and flights?
A. The Sydney Swans do not have any accommodation or flight placements on hold for members. We strongly recommend that you continue to keep an eye out for additional flights and accommodation openings across the week.
