The Sydney Swans will host Richmond on the NSW North Coast with both sides in search of their second victory of the 2024 season.
Senior coach Scott Gowans has made four changes to the side for the Round 3 fixture at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, with QBE Sydney Swans Academy product Holly Cooper to make her debut. Lexi Hamilton and Alana Woodward will make their first appearance of the 2024 season, whilst Maddy Collier returns from concussion.
Richmond have made just one change to the side to face the Swans, with Eilish Sheerin to play her first game of the season following a quad injury.
Richmond responded from an opening round loss to West Coast to hold off the Giants in Round 2 and claim an 11-point win.
Captain Katie Brennan had an imposing first quarter notching six kicks, four marks and a tackle while Monique Conti impressed finishing with 18 disposals and five tackles.
Ellie McKenzie and Grace Egan also had their share of the footy, both finishing with 18 disposals.
Richmond AFLW coach Ryan Ferguson hailed his side's determination to hold off GWS, while also revealing their fast start was imperative in executing their game plan.
Swans coach Scott Gowans admits he expects a tough contest in Coffs Harbour.
"I had a good look at Richmond. They did very well against GWS,” said Gowans.
“It’s no secret Katie Brennan, Sarah Hosking are the ones, Mon Conti, Ellie McKenzie, Grace Egan, they’ve got a really good core group of players.”
“It's really important that our fans get to the game and support us. We're looking for a good turnout, nice and loud, to help get us over the line. But I think it'll be a good game of footy."
