We experienced another strong last quarter but fell just short against Geelong. What impressed you on Sunday?
I think we are starting to build a reputation for being strong finishes and to do that you have to have belief in what you’re doing. I think that’s been the most pleasing thing to see. That no matter what the scoreboard says, the girls are sticking to the process, the game plan and are giving themselves opportunities to win games which is all we can ask for.
And what needs to be improved?
The reverse of that in that we need to try and address our slow starts. If we can put together, a strong start combined with our fast finishes, will leave us in good stead for a four-quarter performance.
Paris McCarthy impressed in her first game of the season with three goals. What does she bring to the side?
Paris has worked extremely hard on her game and it was great to see her come in and take her opportunity and play to her strengths with her pace and her pressure a feature.
We have a match against ladder leaders North Melbourne in Tasmania on Sunday. What’s unique about playing at North Hobart Oval?
It reminds me a little of North Sydney Oval in a sense - due to size and facilities - so it will be a great opportunity to experience playing on another deck in this competition.
What’s the message to the team ahead of the match?
Just to keep building on our consistency and to take the game on. What a great opportunity we have to test ourselves against the best in the competition!
