Open Training
There will be a number of opportunities for fans to get up close to watch the boys during the hard pre-season slog over the next week. Fans are invited to head along to the Lakeside Oval, Moore Park from 8.30am on Friday to watch the players in action. Whether it be skill training, running drills or high intensity circuits there will be plenty to watch as the players prepare for the upcoming pre-season competition. There will also be the opportunity for those that live in the Lane Cove area to head along to an open training session at Blackman Park from 8.30am on Tuesday, 23rd of January.
AFL X
AFLX is a new and exciting concept created by the AFL to showcase some of the most thrilling elements of Australian Football to attract new fans. The AFLX version of Australian Football will be played on a rectangular field with seven players on the field and three on the bench. Get ready to experience something exciting with 10 point super goals, last touch out of bounds and non-stop action on and off the field. The inaugural 2018 AFLX tournament will take place at Allianz Stadium on Saturday February 17 with six teams split across two pools playing in a round robin format. JLT Series
The first chance to see many of the great young talent the Swans have recruited in the off-season will come during the JLT Series pre-season competition. This is the perfect chance to see how the team is shaping up ahead of the home and away season with the first hit out coming against Brisbane on Saturday March 3 at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex. This pre-season competition is the perfect chance for a young player to press his claims for Round 1 selection in front of the match committee and this season will be no different. The Swans have a follow up clash against the GWS Giants at Blacktown International Sports Park on Friday March 9.
Fan Day
The 2018 Sydney Swans Fan Day in Sydney presented by Volkswagen provides a great chance to interact with the club ahead of the home and away season. Fan Day in Sydney will be held on Saturday March 10 from 10.30am and is FREE to attend. Held at the SCG there will be plenty of fun and activities to be had along with the appearance of the entire 2018 playing list. Find out more information on the event here.
