Midfielder Zak Jones is the only Sydney Swans player to poll a vote in the AFL Coaches Association’s Champion Player of the Year award in Sydney’s 10-point loss to the Adelaide Crows at the SCG on Saturday.
Jones collected 27 disposals and five marks and kicked the Swans’ first goal of the game.
The coaches judged Adelaide’s Paul Seedsman best on ground and the midfielder earned a perfect 10 votes, while teammate Rory Atkins collected seven.
Adelaide captain Taylor Walker picked up six votes, while fellow Crows Tom Doedee (three), Tom Lynch (two) and Rory Laird (one) also impressed.
The leaderboard as of after Round 5 will be released after the ANZAC Day clash between Collingwood and Essendon on Wednesday.
