Jarrad McVeigh and Will Hayward joined a small musical therapy session at the Sydney Children’s Hospital on Tuesday afternoon as part of the fantastic services Redkite provide to children and young people with cancer.

The Swans have been in partnership with Redkite for 16 years and will on Saturday celebrate #SwansRedDay at the SCG during the club's clash against Gold Coast.

Young gun Will Hayward said it was great to put a few smiles on the faces of some of the kids.

“It was good to try and get the spirits up," Hayward said.

“Red day is pretty special to the Swans.

“We’ve been with Redkite for 16 years so I encourage everyone to come to the game this weekend. Grab a red bandana for a gold coin donation and that’ll go to Redkite and raise some money for the kids that are suffering”.

The players will be training in the Redkite headbands this Thursday in preparation for the #SwansRedDay game on Saturday afternoon and in support of the 16 year partnership with Redkite.

Headbands will be available on Driver Avenue before the game for a gold coin donation and fans encouraged to come dressed in red to show their support for not only the Swans, but everyone affected by childhood cancer.
