Lance Franklin kicked 69 goals in season 2017, but one stands above the rest.
Round 22, against Adelaide, Lewis Melican kicks the football out in front of the star forward at about the 16th-minute mark of the third quarter.
Franklin gathers, tucks the ball under his arm and breaks into that famous stride of his along the Adelaide Oval boundary.
One and a half bounces later, 'Buddy' enters the forward 50 with Daniel Talia exhaustively trailing behind and spears the footy through the big sticks.
It had shades of his 2010 effort against Essendon, when Cale Hooker was on the end of not one, but two running goals along the MCG boundary line.
One of those earned Franklin the Goal of the Year award that season and this year's piece of brilliance has earned Franklin a one in three chance of taking out this year's prize.
He'll have some competition though.

A regular of this segment having won the past two Goal of the Year honours and three overall, Adelaide's Eddie Betts has once again put his hand up after his Round 9 magic against Brisbane where the small forward rewarded his own efforts with a left-foot dribbler from the Gabba pocket.
Betts put in some second and third efforts to gather and sneak the goal through under the diving arms of a Lions defender.
Speaking of second efforts, Richmond's Daniel Rioli's goal against West Coast in Round 3 was full of them.
Rioli contested two marking contests before giving chase, gathering the footy near the boundary line, getting the one-two from a teammate before snapping a miraculous goal.
To cast your vote for Buddy's brilliance, head to the AFL's Goal and Mark of the Year hub before the September 14 cut off.
If Franklin wins the popular vote, it'll be his third Goal of the Year prize of his career.
