The QBE Sydney Swans Academy program is once again in full swing for the 2017 season.
On Monday afternoon, players in the under 11s to 15s program kicked off their season across seven regions in New South Wales.
Sessions took place right across the state in the City, North Sydney, South Sydney, Illawarra, Northern Beaches, Central Coast and the Hunter Academies.
More than 600 players, aged between 11-19 years old, will be involved in the program throughout 2017.
During the first term, students will have a weekly skill session along with a squad session each fortnight, tailored for specific age groups.
General Manager of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy, Chris Smith, said it was exciting to see so much young talent wanting to improve their AFL skills.
“It is great to see so many young players across New South Wales that are keen to take part in our program,” Smith said.
“Term 1 will have a strong focus on technique and providing players with a fun environment to develop the core AFL skills.”
“We look forward to seeing how this group of young players continues to improve over the years to come.”
