Dan Hannebery and Tom Papley are on track for senior recalls ahead of the Elimination Final against Essendon.

The duo missed the final round of the home and away season with respective injury concerns, Hannebery succumbed to a hip complaint which plagued the star midfielder for several weeks while Papley suffered a jarred knee in the previous round's clash with Adelaide.

Speaking on the HCF Injury Update, Head of Football Tom Harley said signs were positive and were pointing to recalls for the pair ahead of next weekend's do-or-die final with the Bombers.

"Tom (Papley) is tracking well, he landed awkwardly before half-time (in Adelaide)...and just didn't quite get up in time for the game against Carlton," Harley said.

"So he had the week off and we've clearly got this week off and, a bit like the other boys in this category, we'll make sure he does all the required rehab and expect him to be available.

"Dan's (Hannebery) prognosis was really good, he's had a grumbling hip for a couple of weeks and after the really bruising encounter against the Crows (it) didn't recover fully.

"We took the cautious action not to play him against Carlton ... But we will use these two weeks now, we'll expect him to ramp up his training in the back end of this week and have a full week leading into the first final."

Meanwhile, Harley echoed John Longmire's assessment on Monday in regards to Kurt Tippett and Callum Sinclair's availability.

Both ruckmen went down with ankle injuries during last weekend's win over the Blues, but recovered and played out the game.

They're expected to be available for the elimination final but placing pressure on their respective spot will be Sam Naismith who is a confirmed starter in Saturday's NEAFL final.

Having fully recovered from a side strain, Harley said the 206cm big man will put his best case for a senior recall when Rhyce Shaw's Swans meet Gold Coast in Blacktown.

"He's had a good couple of weeks on the training track now and he's looking good, he's moving well and it's a really important hit-out for him given he's had a few weeks on the sidelines," Harley added.

"Expect him to play, get through and be part of the selection discussion next week."
