Luke Parker has picked up a perfect 10 votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award voting for his cracking Round 15 performance at the MCG last Friday night.
Parker was in fine form against Melbourne, kicking the Swans' first goal after the quarter-time siren before racking up a game-high 38 disposals.
It was votes all round for the Swans following the 35-point win. Lance Franklin received eight for his impressive 19 disposals and goal of the week contender, one of four for the night, while Zac Jones received four for another great performance in defence.
George Hewett and Dane Rampe also received three votes each with captain Josh Kennedy taking home another two votes to continue what has been a fantastic season so far.
Richmond’s Dustin Martin is still in the lead of this year’s award after another perfect 10 in his game against Port Adelaide on Saturday night. Martin sits on 73 votes, just one ahead of Geelong’s Patrick Dangerfield (72 votes), with West Coast’s Elliot Yeo rounding out the top three on 57 votes.
