The Sydney Swans have elevated rookie player Shaun Edwards to the club's senior list.
The versatile forward, who was recruited from Essendon at pick 49 in the 2017 Rookie Draft, impressed throughout the JLT Series with the Bombers and has taken a step further to his first match in the red and white.
Originally from the Northern Territory, the fast-paced Edwards is a versatile player who can play forward and back.
He has played 24 games at AFL level since making his debut for the Giants against Adelaide in Round 4, 2012.
The teams for our season opener against Port Adelaide will be announced online tonight at 6.25pm.
Edwards replaces Gary Rohan who has already been placed on the club's long term injury list.
