Pre-season is about to heat up because tomorrow is the Sydney Swans' intra-club practice match, the squad's first competitive hitout of the summer.
Excitement levels have lifted. There's a heightened anticipation in the eyes of the first years and new recruits. They'll be wanting to impress with a bit over a week before the Club's first game of the JLT Community Series.
For the senior guys, they've been here before and know what it's about. But after a summer slog, there's nothing like getting stuck into a proper game, practice match or not, knowing it's a big season is all ahead of you.
The boys took to Lakeside Oval on Thursday in preparation for #swansintra, polishing their skills under the watchful eye of the assistant coaches.
