Sydney coach John Longmire is likely to have some tough selection decisions to make, with Dan Hannebery, Tom Papley and Sam Naismith all set to be fit for Saturday's elimination final against Essendon.
Hannebery (hip) and Papley (knee) missed the Swans' round 23 romp over Carlton, while Naismith (hip) hasn't played since his side's round 19 loss to Hawthorn at the MCG.
Both Hannebery and Papley completed a running session over the bye weekend and will look to train on Tuesday and Thursday to prove they're right to take on the Bombers, while Naismith played 80 minutes in the NEAFL on Saturday.
The ruckman gathered 17 possessions and had a big presence in Sydney's 68-point win over Gold Coast, meaning Longmire will have three talls to choose from, with Kurt Tippett and Callum Sinclair expected to be over their ankle injuries.
"He did quite well, ran the game out really strongly and his ruck work was really solid," he said.
"To get through the game and pull up well is a really good sign, so he's a chance, but so are a number of others.
"He's been doing a fair bit of running and training now for a few weeks, and did some competitive work last week, and a bit the week before as well.
"We'll sit down as the week progresses and work out who is fit and available, and what team we think is best to play the Bombers."
The last time Essendon confronted the Swans at the SCG the match was a classic, with the home side stealing it at the death when Gary Rohan marked seconds before the final siren, giving his team a one-point victory when he converted from the goalsquare.
Longmire said his coaching team had gone back to look over that game, which the Bombers led until time on in the final term, but it wasn't the Swans' sole priority going into this week.
"We tend to focus primarily on the recent form of the Bombers, which has been really solid," he said.
"We looked at that game (in round 14), we did some things quite well and they did some things really well.
"They got their noses in front and we had to do everything right in the last few minutes (to win), and that probably sums up the season and how tight it's been.
"You've got to be playing well for four quarters, right to the final siren, to give yourself every chance of winning, and I'm sure this week will be no different."
