The Sydney Swans are set to make at least four changes to their side to face Brisbane at the SCG on Sunday.
Jarrad McVeigh, Sam Naismith and Aliir Aliir are among seven players that have been added to the extended 25-man squad.
McVeigh, who has been restricted to the sidelines by a calf injury suffered in the pre-season, is looking to play his first match for the year.
Should the former co-captain get through Friday’s training session at the SCG, the match committee must then decide whether he plays in the AFL or NEAFL side.
Naismith has missed the past three weeks of football after injuring his knee in a training mishap ahead of Sydney’s Round 4 trip to Perth to face the Eagles.
Oliver Florent, Harrison Marsh, Jordan Foote and Dean Towers have also been included in the extended squad that will be cut to a final 22 by 5pm on Friday.
Gary Rohan (concussion) and Jeremy Laidler (Achilles) are out of the side, while James Rose and Brandon Jack have been omitted.
