Some love night games, some love twilight and for others afternoons are best.

That’s why the Sydney Swans are thrilled with the balanced mix of the club’s 2020 fixture, released on Thursday morning.

Sydney’s home-game draw alternates between night and afternoon matches over the first 14 rounds, before a night game, twilight game, another night game and a floating fixture cap off the regular season.

Swans Head of Customer and Community Natalie Fagg is rapt the fixture has satisfied the preferences of the club’s supporters.

“The feedback from our members is that they want to see balance in our fixture,” Fagg said.

“I think the 2020 fixture delivers balance. It includes afternoon footy, it’s got great blockbuster games and it’s got a few Saturday nights that we didn’t have last year, which is great. It was critical to mix up afternoon, twilight and night games throughout the season

“Membership is a commitment and we want everyone to make the most of their connection to the team. The 2020 fixture allows for people to include footy as a valuable part of their weekends, and have those moments with their family and friends.”

Sydney’s 2020 fixture stands in stark contrast to its 2019 draw, which saw the Swans play their first five home games at night and their last three in the afternoon.

The 2020 draw is a big win for young families in need of an early night, those who want an afternoon at the beach and those who want to grab some drinks after the game.

Sydney will face Essendon from 7:50pm on Friday, March 27 in its first home match of the season.

Fagg has a clear message for anyone who hasn’t yet registered for a NSW membership.

“Reserved seats are absolutely the way to go,” Fagg said.

“They allow for you to get to the game when you want knowing that your seat is there and secure.

“We look forward to welcoming as many new people as well as our faithful to an 11-game membership in 2020.”

Victorian and interstate membership will be available for purchase soon.
