The Sydney Swans Street Team was out in force at the 2019 Marrickville Festival on Sunday.

The festival is an annual event which sees local makers and creatives gather to showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Marrickville.

The Swans Street Team’s Spin2Win Wheel delivered a host of wonderful giveaways, thanks to McCafe, while locals were also able to renew their membership for season 2020.

The team was joined by Swans-friendly clubs the Newtown Breakaways and Newtown Swans, who were also taking registrations for next season.

Swans Senior Manager – Fan Community Arna Hunt says the club loves connecting with the public.

“For eight months of the year we ask the Sydney Swans family to come to our home at the SCG, so during the off-season we like to return the favour and visit their communities,” Hunt said.

“This is an opportunity to learn more about the different cultures, traditions and diverse groups of people that make up the Swans family. These street festivals and various community events give the Swans Street Team a great opportunity to engage with our members and fans, learn about their communities and introduce potential new fans to the game and the club, as well as say hi to some familiar faces.”

The Swans Street Team is now set to visit the Norton Street Italian Festa in Leichardt on Sunday.
