AFLW action has arrived early. The Sydney Swans AFLW squad will take part in practice matches as a part of optional training from the end of April and into the start of May.

It's an exciting opportunity for members and fans to get an early look at the squad and support the players as they prepare to start official pre-season in mid-May. 

The first three games will take place in Sydney, with the last match to be played in Adelaide. All games will be free to attend. 

The first practice match will take place this Saturday, April 12 against the Adelaide Crows at Tramway Oval, kicking off at 11:00am. 

On Friday, April 18 an intraclub match featuring AFLW and QBE Sydney Swans Academy talent will be held at Blacktown International Sports Park from 10:00am. It's the perfect opportunity to see the next generation of stars in action. 

Saturday, April 26 will see the team take on a combined Adelaide Crows / Brisbane Lions outfit in Blacktown. First bounce is 12:00pm. 

Finally, the Sydney Swans will travel to South Australia to take on a merged Crows-Brisbane team at AAM Stadium from 12:15pm local time. 

Sydney is allowed to field 12 AFLW players, with the rest made up of state league and top-age club Academy prospects.

Official pre-season training is set to begin on Monday, May 19 ahead of the 2025 NAB AFLW season starting in August.
