The Sydney Swans will begin preparations for the 2020 premiership season with two pre-season games locked in against cross-town rivals GWS and North Melbourne.
The 2020 Marsh Community Series fixture was officially announced on Monday with the Swans scheduled to meet the Giants on Saturday, February 29 at Blacktown International Sportspark at 4:10pm.
Sydney’s second and final pre-season hitout will fall on Monday, March 9 when the Swans travel to Hobart to take on North Melbourne at Kingston Twin Ovals at 1:40pm. The Monday is a public holiday in Tasmania.
The Swans and Grand Finalists GWS met twice in season 2019, with the Giants coming away with both victories.
While the Swans and Kangaroos last squared off in Hobart which Sydney claimed by five points in a nail-biting finish.
The 2020 Marsh Community Series will be played over three weeks with St Kilda and Hawthorn kicking off the pre-season fixture on February 20.
