Luke Parker clings to a top-10 spot in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year voting following Saturday's outstanding performance against the Western Bulldogs.

Parker's 34 disposals, three goals and 10 tackles earned a game-high eight votes from coaches John Longmire and Luke Beveridge.

But Parker didn't have it all his way however with Dogs star Marcus Bontempelli also earning eight votes for his efforts.

Lance Franklin and Josh Kennedy were the only other Swans to be given votes. Franklin earned five for his five goals while Kennedy was instrumental for his 34 disposals and seven clearances to also earn five votes.

Dogs trio Matthew Boyd (2), Lachie Hunter (1) and Tom Liberatore (1) rounded out the vote getters.

Parker's haul sees the hard-nosed on-baller promoted to equal seventh on the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, alongside Bontempelli, on 49 votes.

Adelaide's Rory Sloane tops the leaderboard on 67 votes, with Geelong pair Patrick Dangerfield and Joel Selwood close behind on 66 and 64 respectively.
