Only one player has maintained his spot in the AFL's Team of the Week in all three weeks of season 2016.
Following his best-on-ground performance against GWS, Luke Parker has earned his third consecutive place in the AFL's weekly best 22.
It continues Parker's incredible start to the season in which the 23-year-old averages 34 disposals and earned 29 out of a possible 30 votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award.
Suitably positioned at ruck rover, Parker joins teammates Josh Kennedy (centre) and Lance Franklin (full-forward) in the Round 3 Team of the Week.
It is the second time Franklin has been named in the carefully selected side after earning a spot in Round 1 following his four-goal performance against Collingwood.
Tasked with the difficult task, AFL reporter Adam Curley provides his reasons below:
Luke Parker – Could quite possibly be sitting on nine Brownlow medal votes after three rounds thanks to another sensational all-round game against the Giants.
Josh Kennedy – Has wrecked the Giants in the past and had another massive game at the SCG with 29 touches, 16 of them contested, eight clearances and 13 tackles.
Lance Franklin – In a tight Sydney Derby Franklin had a fantastic battle with GWS co-captain Phil Davis, but his third straight four-goal haul proved pivotal for the Swans.
