The Sydney Swans will host Collingwood in Friday night's Preliminary Final at ANZ Stadium after the Pies' come-from-behind win against West Coast at the MCG tonight.

The Pies lost the lead in the final term but managed to find some poise and class, winning by 13 points, 10.13 (73) to 9.6 (60).

Collingwood trailed by 22 points during the first quarter before it clicked into gear with goals from Harry O'Brien and Scott Pendlebury.

West Coast blasted the first four goals of the game, but the Pies responded and closed the gap to three points after kicking the first of the second quarter.

Collingwood lifted its intensity in the second term, but West Coast still managed to take an 11-point lead into the main break.

Dale Thomas sparked Collingwood in the third with three goals in the first seven minutes, his third giving the Pies an eight point lead.

West Coast Will Schofield threatened to turn the tide when he dragged off Thomas to run into an open goal, but his shot from close range dribbled through the points.

Close to five minutes later, Collingwood small forward Jarryd Blair slotted a goal from tight on the boundary the line to extend Collingwood's lead to 16 points.

The Pies looked like they were about to run away with but a mark and after-the-siren goal from Jack Darling trimmed the margin to 10 points at three-quarter time.

Nic Naitanui gave the Eagles the first goal of the final term and a screamer from Josh Kennedy soon after put West Coast in front.

But goals from Tyson Goldsack and Dane Swan steadied Collingwood to give them a famous win.

Dayne Beams was all class for the Pies with 30 touches while Ben Reid was near-unstoppable in the Collingwood backline.

Tickets for Friday night's Preliminary Final against Collingwood go on sale on Monday for Sydney Swans Members and Tuesday for the general public.
