This afternoon Ticketek informed the AFL that they will refund the service and handling fee to all AFL, Adelaide Crows and Sydney Swans members from today’s ticket on-sale for the Toyota AFL Finals Series matches this weekend.

AFL Chief Executive Officer Gillon McLachlan said the gesture from Ticketek this afternoon was very welcomed.

"The AFL was extremely disappointed for our fans today, and made this clear to Ticketek,” Mr McLachlan said.

“I personally spoke to Ticketek, the SCG and the MCG to express the frustration of our fans.

"The decision to refund the service and handling fees on every transaction from tickets sold today to AFL, Crows and Sydney members  is a good gesture from Ticketek this afternoon,” he said.

The refund will be processed in the next 48 hours and will be credited to the account which was used in the transaction.
