Sydney Swans ruckman Kurt Tippett is on track to return for the final rounds of the season.
The big man has hit the track running for the first time this week since undergoing surgery to repair the semitendinosus tendon in his hamstring.
Swans General Manager of Football Tom Harley says Tippett is poised for a recall in Round 22.
“Kurt Tippett’s looking great – he’s recovered extremely well from the surgery that he had,” Harley said.
“He’s on the long-term injury list, which prevents him from playing until Round 22, so we’re really confident he’ll hit that milestone.
“He’s starting to do some light running, he’s doing specific ruck work and he’s out on the track each session with the boys, so that’s a morale booster in itself.”
Meanwhile young gun Harry Marsh is a chance to return from a hamstring injury in the NEAFL match in Blacktown on Saturday.
But Jeremy Laidler is set to spend at least a week on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury playing for the Swans’ NEAFL side in Canberra last weekend.
