Defender Marty Mattner will make his return to the Swans line-up to tackle Carlton this Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

Mattner missed last week’s win over North Melbourne with a quad injury, but is set to take his place in the crunch match against the Blues, who sit seventh on the AFL ladder.

Forward Trent Dennis-Lane, who made his debut two weeks ago against Richmond, was the unlucky one when the final team was announced on Friday evening.

Key forward Jesse White and Lewis Jetta are emergencies, along with Dennis-Lane.

Coach Paul Roos said today that he'd like to see both players have another strong showing in the reserves.

White booted eight goals in the 80-point win against Tuggeranong last week, while Jetta was impressive in the midfield gathering 30 possessions.
