A super consistent season from the hardnosed midfielder saw him named in the All Australian team for a third time in his short career.
Hannebery continued to take his game to another level in 2016 as he averaged a career high 31 disposals per game.
He collected more than 30 disposals on 17 occasions throughout the season with his best game coming against Adelaide in Round 4 when he had 38 disposals and a goal.
His leadership both on and off the field propelled to new heights in 2016 after being included in the senior leadership group at the start of the season.
Hannebery was one of the key contributors for the Swans on Grand Final day before leaving the field early in the final quarter with a knee injury sustained in a tackle.
The star midfielder has avoided surgery and is set to re-join his teammates for pre-season training in December.
In his own words
"“From a personal point of view it was a consistent year and I just loved playing with such a young group. It was a bit of extra responsibility for the senior guys but I think it was one of our most enjoyable years seeing the young guys come through. Being a part of that in that inside and outside midfield role helping some of the guys through there." Dan Hannebery on SwansTV
