Sydney Swans midfielder Tom Mitchell's stellar form has continued with the ball-winner picking up top votes from the coaches for his work in the wet on Saturday night.
After collecting a total of ten votes from his past two matches, Mitchell followed it up with seven votes from John Longmire and Rodney Eade for his run-with role on superstar Gary Ablett that saw him finish the night with 33 disposals, 14 tackles and a goal of his own.
Fellow midfielder Dan Hannebery has strengthened his position on top of the AFL Coaches Association's Champion Player of the Year Award leaderboard picking up five votes for his 36 disposal, six tackle effort. Hannebery is now on 54 votes, seven ahead of Todd Goldstein.
Defender Dane Rampe's work in the back half was also recognised with five votes after playing the perfect rebounding defensive role, collecting 23 touches.
A trio of Swans rounded out the votes for the red and whites with Kurt Tippett's colossal game in the ruck, Gary Rohan's speed and goal sense and Luke Parker's hard attack on the footy all rewarded with four votes each.
For the Suns, midfielder Matt Rosa was the only player to catch the eye of the coaches picking up one vote.
