Kurt Tippett is unfazed about playing his first match at Adelaide Oval since leaving the Crows at the end of the 2012 season.

Injury and suspension has stood in the way of Tippett returning to South Australia to face the Crows during his three seasons in the red and white.

The 28-year-old is not too concerned about what reception is waiting for him from local fans.

“I am a little bit uncertain but I know they are passionate supporters so they will probably be pretty vocal,” Tippet said.

“It is just another game of footy, it has been a while now and there has been a lot of water go under the bridge.”

“My teammates have been stirring me up all week but I have been trying not to buy it.”

Director of Coaching John Blakey said Tippett had an important role to counter Crows big man Sam Jacobs on Saturday night.

“We haven’t had to speak to him because it has been four years,” Blakey said.

“He is an absolute pro who is enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment and has a big job against Jacobs.”

“Hopefully he can come out on top in the dual tomorrow night.”

Tippett said he was looking forward to playing at the venue for the first time on Saturday night.

“It will be a good match as both teams are in good form and we get to play on Adelaide Oval in prime time so it is going to be good fun.”
