Star forward Lance Franklin is looking forward to playing in front of a packed house at the SCG for Friday night’s Marn Grook match.
Tickets are selling fast for the blockbuster match against an undefeated North Melbourne side.
Franklin said the Swans are eager to test themselves against the in-form team of the competition.
“North is undefeated this season so it’s going to be a big challenge for us to get the win,” Franklin said.
“I can’t wait to get out there on Friday night in front of a big crowd at the SCG – it’s going to be a cracking game.”
Franklin has booted 16 goals from four matches at the SCG this season and currently leads the Coleman Medal race with 37 goals after nine rounds.
Friday night’s match is set to hold extra significance for the No. 23 who is likely to be the only Indigenous player in the Swans line up.
“It (Marn Grook) is a really special game. It’s a night I love to play in front of a big crowd,” he said.
“It’s just a special round to recognise what Indigenous players bring to the game.”
It’s the best start to a season the 29-year-old has had since he joined the Swans at the end of 2013.
But Buddy would not be drawn on whether he’s in career-best form.
“I don’t know whether it‘s my career best form at the moment .. but I am enjoying my football,” he said.
