Midfielder Josh Kennedy is looking to add more versatility to his game in 2015 with the ability to have a greater impact on the scoreboard a key focus.
The 27-year-old booted 13 goals last season down on his career best season of 29 goals in the Swans 2012 premiership season.
Despite developing himself into one of the elite midfielders in the competition Kennedy remains focussed on continuing to improve his output.
“I think it is a combination of everything (you aim to improve) because you are always trying to get a bit fitter and stronger,” Kennedy said on MMM Radio.
“I am always just looking for little ways to improve whether that is my efficiency in front of goal and making sure I take those opportunities in front of goal.
“Ï also want to be able to play in different positions whether that is up forward and having a bigger impact there.”
“You are always looking for ways to better your game but also making sure you don’t lose focus on what your strength is and take anything away from that.”
Kennedy said he was impressed with the way the team had gone about the pre-season campaign on the eve of the NAB Challenge pre-season competition kicking off.
“Every team at this time of year is just trying to do what they have been doing but just trying to do it better,” he said.
“With some new players coming in, you want to try and bring them up to speed as quickly as possible to make sure we are all on the same page.”
“Every pre-season is pretty tough but this one has dragged on for a lot longer with the disappointment from last year still burning in everyone’s minds.”
Kennedy will line up in the club’s opening NAB Challenge clash against Brisbane in Coffs Harbour on Friday night.
