From personal wellbeing to career development, to financial education and much much more, the Swans’ first-year players have been busy in Melbourne over the past two days at the annual AFL Players’ Association/AFL Induction Camp.

One hundred and ten players from all 18 clubs have been briefed on an array of issues by a number of guests on Monday and Tuesday at Etihad Stadium.

Yesterday, Melbourne youngsters Angus Brayshaw and Christian Petrecca were joined on a panel by Carlton champ Anthony Koutoufides in explaining to the group what to expect during their first few years in the AFL system.

Today, via video, AFL Players’ Association President Matthew Pavlich stressed the importance of every player maximising their time in the game to ensure they achieve both personal success on and off the field.

The group also learned about rules and regulations surrounding illicit drugs, match fixing and anti-doping.

Wearing their red and white colours proudly were 2015 draftees Callum Mills, Jordan Dawson, Tyrone Leonardis, Sam Murray, Tom Papley, Kyle Galloway and Colin O’Riordan.

The camp has been a central part of the AFL’s induction process for new players over the past 16 years.

The boys will return to Sydney and re-join their teammates for training on Wednesday.
