Lewis Jetta today notified the Club of his desire to return home to Western Australia to be closer to his family.
Sydney Swans General Manager of Football Tom Harley said the Club would explore trade options with the Western Australia based clubs.
“The Club has put a good offer to Lewis and while we are disappointed, we certainly understand the strong pull for him to return home to Western Australia with his young family,” Harley said.
“Lewis is not a free agent, so we will work on securing a fair trade for the Swans during the upcoming exchange period,” he said.
The 26-year old was originally recruited as first round selection (pick 14) in the 2009 National Draft. He has played 127 games for the Swans, and kicked 99 goals.
