Co-captain Luke Parker is excited by the path ahead for his side as he prepares to enter his tenth season in the red and white.
Parker will once again be co-captain alongside Josh Kennedy and Dane Rampe in season 2020 after taking on the role for the first time last season.
The addition of Lewis Taylor and Sam Gray in the off-season has bolstered the AFL experience on the young Swans list.
The 27-year-old said he was pleased with where the side was heading.
“Fans can expect some excitement as we have a number of players who have completed their first pre-season in a number of years,” Parker said.
“Players like Buddy and Papps have come back with no injuries and getting a full pre-season under their belt will really hold us in good stead.”
“Another year of having young guys play a lot of football at an early age is great for us going forward.”
2019 saw the emergence of Nick Blakey and James Rowbottom, the development of Tom Papley and Oliver Florent and the consistency of Parker and Rampe continue.
Parker said it was the amount of matches played by the younger players over the last few seasons that would hold the team in such good stead.
“They are getting a lot of experience at a young age and have been playing in some really big games.”
“I am looking forward to us taking another step forward in 2020.”
Sydney Swans players return to training on Friday, January 10.
