Favourite footy memory?
The 2005 semi-final between the Sydney Swans and Geelong. The Swans had not played well and with 15 minutes left were down by 23 points and looking like they were going to be knocked out of the finals series. The Bloods had fought back in a great last quarter but were still down by three points with less than one minute to play. And I, along with the rest of the SCG, thought this was going to be the end of the season. But then the man, the myth, the legend, the great Nick Davis, arrives on the scene! With the final seconds counting down, Jason Ball taps the Sherrin from a ball-up into Davis' path. He manages to collect the ball and get a quick left-foot snap away, which sails directly over the goal umpires head and puts the Swannies into the Grand Final, of which we would emerge champions thanks to that legendary mark from Leo Barry.
