It will take something special to top Luke Parker for the Goal of the Year after the Sydney star produced a moment of magic in the Swans' 29-point win over West Coast on Sunday night.

With five minutes left and just 10 points separating the teams, Oliver Florent kicked the ball to top of the square where big Swan Callum Sinclair competed for the mark.

Front and centre and with one arm pinned, Parker roved the marking contest, fumbled and – falling backwards – flung his foot at the ball to nail a ridiculous over-the-head goal.

"I just had a go at it. It flicked out in front, I threw a boot at it and hoped for the best. I was lucky," Parker told AFL.com.au after the match.

"If it goes through for a point and ends up being a turnover, the coach is pulling his hair out, but I was lucky it went through for a goal and helped seal the game."

When asked if he had ever kicked another goal like it at any level, Parker said: "Not at all. I'm probably the worst at soccer at the club so I don't know where I've pulled it from."

The incredible goal sealed the win for the Swans and may have sealed the Goal of the Year for Parker.
