Swans cash in on Coaches votes
Led by Luke Parker, Swans players took home a swag of AFLCA votes from Saturday's win over Adelaide
As well as the four match points, the Swans pocketed all of the Coaches votes in a clean sweep at Adelaide Oval.
Luke Parker was adjudged as the best player on the ground and received the maximum ten votes from John Longmire and Brenton Sanderson for his 26 disposals, nine clearances and four goals.
Star forward Lance Franklin was judged as next best on the field, netting eight votes for his 20-possession, four-goal performance that also included nine score involvements and six marks.
Perennial vote-getter, Josh Kennedy collected five votes as the leading possession accumulator on the ground with 28, while the defensive jobs of Nick Smith on Eddie Betts, Ben McGlynn on Patrick Dangerfield, and the rebounding work of Nick Malceski also caught the coaches’ attention.
Geelong’s Joel Selwood, Gold Coast’ Gary Ablett and Essendon’s Brendon Goddard currently head the Award’s voting after three rounds.
