With players in good Fantasy form after back-to-back wins for the first time this year, the Swans’ next assignment is a trip to Brisbane to face the Lions at the Gabba.

What did you take out of our round six match, Fantasy-wise?

Lotts:
In the Fremantle game it was six players who cracked the ton, this week it was seven so that was certainly pleasing to see. Dan Hannebery (MID $446,160) was the pick of the bunch with 116 Fantasy points while McGlynn (FWD/MID $461,497), Kennedy (MID $504,789) and Shaw (DEF $344,084) joined Hanners in posting back-to-back tons – hopefully the start of many more in season 2014.

Sub-elite Legends: If there was still any doubt about it, Luke Parker (FWD/MID $482938) is a top-line Fantasy forward. After a handy 110 points on the weekend Luke is averaging just shy of 100 points a game and is the third highest forward for total Fantasy score in the competition. He has yet to put a foot wrong in six games this season and I think his form is set to continue.

Who’s your Swans player of the week?

Lotts:
It’s a tough one to pick but for me it’s got to be the man who’s about to play his 200th match tomorrow night against Brisbane, Rhyce Shaw (DEF $344,084). At 32, Shaw recorded a career-high 34 possessions for 112 Fantasy point. Shaw has been in good touch recently averaging 110 points in his last two matches.

Sub-elite Legends: This week I want to give special mention to Dan Hannebery (MID $446,160) who has worked hard over the past two weeks to notch up some big numbers. Anyone watching the game closely last weekend would have seen multiple gut-busting efforts from Hanners. Lets hope he keeps it up because we all know that elite work-rate usually dictates elite Fantasy scoring.

Which Swans player would you choose as your captain for the next game?

Lotts:
It wasn’t a huge score last week, but it was good to see Josh Kennedy (MID $504,789) post another century – his third in succession. This week, Kieren Jack (MID $476,834) is a good tip for the captaincy. After missing the first match of the year with a back injury, Kizza is slowly building form averaging 98 points a game in his last four matches. The last time he played Brisbane he scored 104, so he’s my tip this week.

Sub-elite Legends: I am getting right around Dan Hannebery this week. I have loved watching how hard he has been working the past couple of weeks to get himself back to his best and I think he is going to bring another big performance against the Lions.

Next up is Brisbane at the Gabba, who are the players to look out for from the Lions?

Lotts:
Fresh off their first win for the season and with some Fantasy gems in their side, the Lions will head into the match with plenty of confidence. While he didn’t score that well last round, Tom Rockliff (MID $584,398) is easily their best Fantasy player averaging 115 points a game while Jack Redden (MID $527,000) with an average of 105 points a match, and Dayne Zorko (FWD/MID $457,547) with 97 points, aren’t far behind.

Sub-elite Legends: I have always been a big Tom Rockliff (MID $584,398) fan in Fantasy circles. When playing through the middle, he is one of the highest scoring players in the league but when drifting forward his scores have tended to drop. Despite the roller coaster ride, the recent form of Jonathan Brown has seen Rocky play the bulk of his time through the middle and he’s so far racked up a massive 115-point average this season. Keep an eye on him.

Any changes this week for your team?

Lotts:
A couple of players I’ve had my eye on are Nathan Fyfe (MID $492,735) from the Dockers and Jack Steven (MID $479,552) from St Kilda. Fyfe is an absolute star but I think his price is really attractive after he scored 64 and 95 in his first two matches before being suspended for the next two. He’s now scored 114 and 119 in his last two matches so he’s building and now is the time to jump on an absolute superstar. Steven is another one who I eyed off in the off-season but unfortunately for him, he got injured in the pre-season and has now only played three matches. He’s a player with huge potential and he has a history of scoring big – he notched up 148, 145 and 125 in matches last year. He’s also at an attractive price, so he’s going to find a way into my team this week before his price sky rockets when he starts to hit his straps.

Sub-elite Legends: I’m definitely looking to top up one of my cash cows to a fallen premium. If you haven’t jumped on Dane Swan (MID $550,134) yet, he won’t be any cheaper for the rest of the year. Sam Mitchell (DEF/MID $524,692) is another who is fairly affordable at the moment considering his usual output, as well as having the valuable DPP status. Pending finances, they are my two go-to players this week.
