Sydney Swans speedster Lewis Jetta’s trademark goal against Collingwood in the third quarter of last Friday night’s win is one of the round nine nominations for the 2013 Goal of the Year.
A perfectly weighted kick from Luke Parker saw a foot race between the Swans’ number 32 and Collingwood captain Nick Maxwell, and with the ball placed to Jetta’s advantage he pounced and kicked a memorable goal from 50 metres out.
A finalist in last year’s Goal of the Year award, Jetta is up against Western Bulldog Robert Murphy and North Melbourne’s Lindsay Thomas for the round nine nod.
