The Sydney Swans have made a late change to tonight’s team that will face Hawthorn in less than 90 minutes time, with key forward Kurt Tippett ruled out of the match at ANZ Stadium.

The Swans leading goal kicker has been withdrawn after struggling to overcome hamstring tightness in the lead up to tonight’s game.

Injured Swan Dan Hannebery, who is also missing for the Swans' round 23 clash with bone bruising in his knee and is Tippett's housemate, said the key forward should be fit for round one of the finals.

"His hammy was a bit tight, so no risks," Hannebery said on radio.

"He should be fine for next week."

Hannebery also had positive news about two other injured Swans, Lewis Jetta and Adam Goodes.

Jetta (shin) is playing for the reserves on Saturday, his first game back since round 10, while Goodes (knee) hasn't featured since round 13.

"I think Jetta could potentially be a sub next week and maybe ‘Goodesy’ could come back the week after that," Hannebery said.

"So they would be the two. There's a bit of juggling to do for the coaching staff."

Hannebery is also expected to miss just one week.

Tippett has been replaced by Mitch Morton, who will play his first senior game since round 13, after he was a late withdrawal from the Swans’ round 14 win over Carlton.

Morton will start in the green vest for tonight's clash.
