Sydney Swans team mates Dan Hannebery and Kieren Jack have moved into joint second place in the race for the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award.

Hannebery was a clear best on ground in the Sydney Swans’ 34-point win over West Coast in Perth on Sunday and received the perfect 10 votes of the combined votes of John Longmire and John Worsfold.

For the second year in a row, Hannebery had a 40-disposal game at Patersons Stadium, as well as gathering seven clearances, five inside 50s, three rebound 50s, three tackles and kicking two key goals.

Jack wasn’t far behind Hannebery with 30 touches, seven clearances and two running goals to receive eight votes from the coaches.

Jack and Hannebery – level on 70 votes for the season - sit 15 votes behind Gold Coast’s Gary Ablett, who recorded another 10 vote game against Collingwood on the weekend.

The Swans’ Josh Kennedy (29 disposals, eight clearances, six tackles and a goal) was the next best player in the win over West Coast with five votes, while Jarrad McVeigh (26 disposals, five rebound 50s, four inside 50s) was the only other Swans to register with two votes.
