The Sydney Swans reserves continued their impressive 2011 form in Canberra yesterday, leading from start to finish to record a 113-point win over Queanbeyan.
In perfect conditions for football, the Swans overcame a wasteful first half in front of goal to put the foot down in the final two quarters, kicking 12 goals to the Tigers' nil.
After being the travelling substitute for the seniors last week, Nathan Gordon was the main destroyer upon his return for the Swans, finishing the game with six majors in a best on ground performance.
Gary Rohan and Jed Lamb both put in excellent performances in their second games back from long injury lay offs, while Nick Malceski and Trent Dennis-Lane contributed heavily after dropping back from the seniors.
Dylan McNeil was at his usual in-and-under best, continual feeding the outside runners over the course of the afternoon.
Jarred Moore continued his stellar recent form, kicking two goals and setting up several others in a mature performance.
The Swans reserves face a mighty challenge this weekend when the Brisbane Lions make the trip south for Saturday's 1pm game at Blacktown Olympic Park.
