From 1:30pm on Monady until 5pm this afternoon, fans had the opportunity to post a question to Swans forward Sam Reid via sydneyswans.com.au.

A record number of questions came through for Sam and he will try and answer as many of your questions as possible later in the week, with the answers to be posted in a separate article.

Thanks everyone for getting your questions in. You can see what the fans asked Sam below:

Do you want your career as a forward to be a full-forward or a centre-half forward?

Matt

Hi Sam what is your nickname at the club? what is your favorite thing to do in your break or when we have a bye?

MAtthew

Hey reidy. What game do you think has been your best so far this season? It must be great to have a superstar like goodesy in the forward line with you. Does goodesy give you a lot of guidance and advice in games and at training?

Chester

Hey Sam,
I'm a massive fan of yours and it's been great watching you take huge marks at the SCG this year, just wondering if you have always had such strong hands? Also, whats the secret to it?

BenR

Hey sam
Nice mark the other day, you got up so high but now on a serious noteIve noticed that your probably the uglier brother in your family. what is it like growing up with an older cuter brother?

Smooch

whats it like living with the general?

Hi Sam,

I'm sure I speak for all Swans fans in saying how exciting the prospect is of having both yourself and Lewis Johnston as our twin towers up forward, capable of tearing apart any opposition defense!

With the teams accuracy in front of goals not so good recently, it might be a great idea having a club goal kicking legend in Tony Lockett as a kicking coach.
What do you think we as supporters could possibly do to convince him to take up the challenge?

Also, what is your ideal playing weight you wish to eventually achieve, in order to be able to out-muscle opposition defenders for the rest of your career, and how long do you think it will take you to get there?

Good luck against the Bombers.

David

Hi Sam
How long is your current contract with the swans, we hope you can lead the younger "bloods brigade" for the next decade

Nancy

Who is the funniest player at the club? Who is the most likely to fall for a practical joke?

Mityfine

Hi Sam,

Is there a player at the Swans or any other club, that you model the way you play on? Who influences you the most? Good luck for the rest of the season!

Gem

are you single?

Hey Sam.
Loving watching you and the swans this year.
If you had to have a player from any club to join you up forward next year, who would it be and why?

Andrew

Hi Sam who is your mentor at the cub and what have they taught you?

Bobalski

Growing up in the foothills of Oz's best skifields, were you into snow sports before the footy became real serious? If so, skier or boarder and is it something you'd like to continue when you retire in a dozen or so years?

David

Hi Sam - really enjoying your efforts this year

Who has been the toughest defender you have played on this year and why ?

Danny G

Hey Sam,
firstly you are a gun player for the future and your marking has been great.

Hi Sam,

You are going to be an absoloute superstar, can't wait to watch you over the next decade... exciting times ahead!

Out of all the young forward (18-24) in the AFL, who would you most like to play along aside and see at the Swans next year if we can snatch one?

Do you enjoy living in Sydney and would you like to be a one club player?

Vickianita

Hi Sam,

You look to have a huge future in front of you at AFL level. Who has been the biggest influence on you since arriving in Sydney from Wang.

Patch

Matt

Hey Sam. Has centre half forward always been your position or have you just started playing that position at the swans. You play that position like a veteran. Was it extra important when you took that pack mark against the bulldogs that you had to catch it because goodesy was under you?

Primmy

Kept an eye on your development since first game in Ressies and am wondering whether you have changed anything in your approach when kicking for goal.  IMHO the drop is too high sometimes.  Valid point or absolute rubbish?

Matt

Hey Reidy. what was it like playing against your brother Ben and Do you still talk about footy together even though he plays at collingwood? Maybe next time the swannies play collingwood you should take a massive hanger on him? Congratulations on such a great year.

Iszac

Sam, how do you find living in Sydney compared to the Buckland Valley?

Stuart Tierney

Do you agree that the team needs to work on its goal kicking?  If so, how will you go about that for the rest of the season and during preseason?

Mark Errey

Horse reportedly had the guys out training in the rain before last week's game to develop their wet weather skills, after four losses in the wet.  Do you think that made a difference in getting over the Bulldogs?

Matt GO SWANS!

Hi Sam. My name is Matt. I am 15 years old and 196 cm tall. What would be your best tip for me to be able to play as well as you if that is even possible? CONGRAGULATIONS on an amazing year so far. Keep up the good work! Will we see the mark of the year soon hopefully.

Leigh

Hey Sam,
Any chance you could convince your brother Ben to leave the Pies and come join you at the Swans? It would be great to see you both in the same side.

As a new player headed for a game against an opponent that the Swans have struggled against in Melbourne, how will you approach the game?
