In today’s episode, Playfair discusses the following:
Byron Sumner:
“The biggest focus for him is his fitness. He’s committed to working hard and putting in the hard yards and giving himself the best chance to get back into the senior, because he certainly has got the talent.”
Dan Currie:
“He had a quiet start to the year, and the last month has been a dramatic improvement. He’s got to continue to play well and continue to improve until the coaches feel he’s ready for an AFL crack”
Jesse White:
“Again, we’re just looking for improvement from him. I think he was a bit quiet by his own admission coming back to the reserves the first couple of weeks, but the weekend was a step in the right direction in terms of his effort and intensity.”
Irish rookie Chris McKaigue:
“He’s really enthusiastic; he’s a real competitor. He hates losing one-on-ones, and hates getting beaten. He’s a work in progress, but his pretty durable and hasn’t missed a minute of footy.”
This weekend’s opponents Queanbeyan:
“We didn’t handle the conditions too well the last time we played them. We’ll have a look at them and review the tape from the last time we played them, look where we can improve, and go from there.”
