IT'S BARELY rated a mention in the same week that Michael O'Loughlin breaks John Rantall's long-standing club record with 261 matches and Adam Goodes becomes the second youngest player to reach the 200-game mark but Peter Everitt will be the other Swan celebrating a milestone against Fremantle on Sunday.
He didn't even realise it until Monday, but Everitt will become eligible for AFL life membership after reaching the official 300-game milestone - including International Rules, State of Origin and pre-season matches.
"I don't think they've been a distraction at all, (and) I didn't know anything about mine," Everitt said.
"Adam's probably crept up pretty quickly as well. I don't think they've put any hindrance on the club at all.
"We haven't really spoken about it thus far, so until it comes game day, we haven't really mentioned it."
The back-to-back grand-finalists slipped to a 6-7 win-loss record after last week's defeat by Geelong, and Everitt knows he won't have much to celebrate if the Swans lose again.
"If you don't win it's going to be definitely a harder road, it doesn't get any easier," Everitt said.
Everitt admitted the Swans faced a tough task to play four quarters of consistent football against Fremantle, who sit one spot behind Sydney separated only by percentage.
"It's a massive challenge for us to make sure we do put our best foot forward and don't get rolled by Fremantle and get a win," he said.
"They've got their whole list back now, and Wiz (Jeff Farmer) is back, and they're probably just missing Justin Longmuir.
"You want to play sides when they're up and running, it's going to be a great contest for us, but we want to also see where we're at and there's no better way to do it.
"We beat Fremantle last year in the finals...so we're hoping to do the same again."
Meanwhile, co-captain Barry Hall moved well at training on Wednesday and is expected to return after missing one match with a groin complaint.
"I can't see any problem with him not playing," Everitt said.
Of his own form, Everitt said that while he is happy with his fitness, he would like to have performed better than he has in his past two outings.
"Last weekend (Brad) Ottens and (Mark) Blake pretty much carved us up, so I was probably disappointed that way.
"But I don't think that was from a fitness or body point of view, I think they were just better on the day."
